Rodolphe Maheux Travel Fund for the World Congress on Endometriosis

Dr Mette Moen presents
WES President Hans Evers
with the first contribution
to the RMTF fund!

Rodolphe Maheux, co-founder of the World Endometriosis Society, was always an advocate of encouraging and promoting young clinicians and scientists to progress in the field of endometriosis.

Therefore, with Dr Mette Moen's enthusiasm and early contribution from the proceeds of the 3rd Nordic Congress on Endometriosis, the WES has established a fund in the name of Rodolphe Maheux, which will issue travel grants to those, who wish to specialise in endometriosis, but who may struggle to obtain financial support to attend the World Congresses on Endometriosis.

The goal is to encourage the next generation of doctors to become as passionate about solving the mystery of endometriosis as that of our society's founder!

Dr Moen, as president of the 3rd Nordic Endometriosis Congress, "kicked-off" the fund by donating euro 2,000 from congress proceeds. We hope that other national/regional congress presidents will follow her example....!

Donations to the Rodolphe Maheux Travel Fund (RMTF) can be made by contacting the WES Central Business Office (wes@endometriosis.org)

A calll for applicaitons for travel funding will be issued in the 4th quarter of 2010.

The World Endometriosis Society

The World Endometriosis Society (WES) was founded in 1998 to promote the exchange of clinical experience, scientific thought, and investigation among gynaecologists, endocrinologists, scientists, biologists and other qualified individuals interested in advancing the field of endometriosis.

The WES is a scientific Society with no link to the industry. We fund our work from our membership dues and from a share of the inscriptions from the World Congresses on Endometriosis.
