The World Endometriosis Society (WES) was founded in
1998 to promote the exchange of clinical experience,
scientific thought, and investigation among gynaecologists,
endocrinologists, scientists, biologists, and other
qualified individuals interested in advancing the field
of endometriosis.
Join
the WES and make a difference!
Your membership of the WES will support
the work of the global endometriosis community:
Members

Members

of endometriosis
Members

to improve diagnosis and treatment for women with endometriosis
Members

EU, NIH, WHO, etc.
Members
receive the WES e-Journal with news and opinions in
endometriois
Members
receive fee reductions at WES events.
But
most importantly: members are part of
an international scientific collaboration and exchange
of clinical experience, which will ultimately enhance
the field of endometriosis and improve our understanding
of the disease! Members are the Society.
Together we can move the field of endometriosis forward!
The
WES mission is to:
-
Promote the exchange
of clinical experience, scientific thought and investigation
among gynaecologists, endocrinologists, scientists,
biologists and other qualified individuals interested
in advancing the field of endometriosis
-
Foster research
in endometriosis pathogenesis and treatment
-
Disseminate information
about endometriosis
-
Encourage and support
collaboration among national and international societies
interested in endometriosis.
We
achieve this through:
-
Organising the
World Congresses on Endometriosis
-
Contributing to
and participating in endometriosis symposia at appropriate
national and international meetings
-
Publishing the WES e-Journal
to our members, in which leading experts in our
field contribute with news, research, opinions,
and debate.
-
Collaboration with the World
Endometriosis Research Foundation
-
Coordinating international research
networks
-
Working with national governments
and international bodies to get endometriosis recognised
as a disease which warrants investment in basic
research and awareness campaigns.
These activities enable, encourage
and support collaboration among national and international
societies and individuals interested in endometriosis.
The WES is a scientific
Society with no link to the industry. We fund our work
from our membership dues and from a share of the inscriptions
from the World Congresses on Endometriosis.
